Colour Scheme

Image
The colours that will be displayed throughout the apps layout will be a mix of pinks and purples as they are fun, girly bright colours that will be able to stand out to the audience and remember the brand due to its quirky aesthetic. I used Adobe colour to generate a wheel of similar colours which all complement each other, I then exported them into my photoshop enabling me to use them when editing my sketches bringing my logos to life through colour.

Making a button in Axure

Image
At first when I tried Axure I really wasn’t keen on it as it didn’t have much tutorials available on the software its self, and I wasn’t familiar with it. I used an online tutorial to learn the basic steps of making a button, so that I could enable a working prototype. The tutorial was created on the Axure website which gives you the chance to download AxureTraining which basically contains files corresponding to the tutorials on the site. The tutorial to make a button is so straight forward and easy to use/ adapt to when creating lots of buttons. The tutorial taught me steps from size and colour down to the simplicity of making the button work.   Here is me applying the knowledge learnt to my own work: button on axure from Danielle Englezou on Vimeo .

Depop marketing campaign

Image
Depop is an online market for people to sell clothing and accessories, very similar to Ebay in this sense but dedicated to fashion. It is a peer to peer social shopping app in which the purchases are powered through PayPal to ensure it is safe trading. For my app I want to make a home page based website, in which I got inspiration from Depop, the site is a clean cut display of what the app can offer but also just a large advertisement full of links for you to follow and download the app. I like Depop’s home based web page site because it is very breathable and not overwhelming with colour, it portrays a very simplistic vibe. As Depop has grown over time, there wasn’t much need for marketing at first as it the app grew with the help of word of mouth, users using the product, loving it and telling there friends and family to download. With now over 10 million people using the app, In 2018, Depop launched their first ever global campaign in order to showcase the crea...

Blog post 1

This blog is to display the journey of my work towards my final project which is going to a lifestyle, entertainment app for young females with many different features. At the exhibition I am going to display my marketing campaign for the app along with a prototype and web page. The blog will explore the uses of softwares such as Axure to create my app, Photoshop to create the content and also Dreamweaver for the web page. I will need to use tutorials to assist me as I haven’t used Axure before and not used Dreamweaver for a while so will need to refresh myself. I will also document my research into marketing techniques for apps and content for my app.
